Giant snake

I just folded a giant snake. The paper is 520 x 53 cm and the snake ended up 285 cm. The number of scales exceeds 1000. The Scales alone took 12 hours to make in addition to some hours for the basic grid, the head, as well as pre-studies for scales and head. In total more than 3 days.

The paper is modern wallpaper which is almost like oilcloth. Fiona design no. 3410001 "Happy nature" by Elsa Kirstine Krogh. The width is 53 cm for both paper and pattern repetiotion which during the folding process gave interesting matches of the patter when the diagonals were folded, which supported the folding nicely in the difficult start in the big paper.
